Comment left on our website in regards to an article written about a proposal to cut six elementary school Spanish teaching positions by the city’s Board of Education:

“Why were young kids ever encouraged to learn spanish in the first place? We should be teaching our kids about preserving what’s left of America instead facilitating the erosion of it. Our kids should learn English well and be proud they know it. Our kids should understand that failed nations with failed morals, failed human rights, failed everything.; that those people should instead be learning to speak English. Our kids should understand that English is the proper language of this world. Maybe later in their high scool level classes they can learn foreign language AS AN ELECTIVE if they wish, but spending so much time teaching a foreign language to elementry school kids at a time when it’s vital to be learning the fundamental aspects of other critical subjects is just rediculous.”
